Report: Che Mills Signs with CAGE Warriors Fighting Championship
By Timothy J. Gilbert
Former UFC welterweight brawler Che Mills has signed a five fight contract with CAGE Warriors Fighting Championship, according to a statement on the CAGE Warriors website.
Mills (15-5-0 2NC) has an extensive fighting background with over twenty fights spanning close to a decade. The Gloucester, England native made his UFC debut with a Knockout of the Night victory over Chris Cope.
Mills’ last match was his split decision loss to Matt Riddle, which was later overturned to a no contest after Riddle failed a drug test.
The signing of such a skilled fighter is the cause for much excitement among the Cage Warrior staff. Company CEO Graham Boylan said.
“Che Mills is the best UK welterweight outside of the UFC at the moment so I’m extremely happy that he has decided to come on board.”
This is not Mills’ first appearance in CWFC. His first appearance came in October 2010 when he defeated Jake Hecht by unanimous decision.
