Report: Cody Garbrandt to Face Pedro Munhoz Next
By FCF Staff
It looks as though Cody Garbrandt will need to defeat Pedro Munhoz in order for the UFC’s former bantamweight champ to return to the win column.
The bantamweights are set to fight at the March 2nd, UFC 235 card in Las Vegas, according to a report from ESPN’s Brett Okamoto. The story cites UFC President Dana White as the source.
Garbrandt (11-2) hasn’t fought since he was stopped by T.J. Dillashaw for a second time, last August. Dillashaw ended “No Love’s” reign as champion in November, 2017.
Munhoz (17-3) fought this past November and stopped fellow contender, Bryan Caraway. Prior to that, in August, Munhoz earned a decision win over Brett Johns.
UFC 235 is expected to feature light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones taking on Anthony Smith in the main event, and welterweight champ Tyron Woodley versus Kamaru Usman in the co-main event.
