After their initial fight scheduled for March 28th fell through, it’s being reported that Cody Garbrandt and Raphael Assuncao have been rebooked to fight June 6th.

The bantamweights were originally scheduled to fight at UFC Columbus. But, Garbrandt was forced to withdraw due to kidney issues and eventually the entire event was canceled because of the coroanvirus pandemic.

MMA Fighting recently reported that multiple sources have informed the outlet that Garbrandt – Assuncao is being targeted for June 6th. MMA Junkie has since reported that the fight has been rescheduled. No location for the event has been announced.

Garbrandt (11-3) hasn’t fought since March, 2019, when he was stopped by Pedro Munhoz. It was the former champ’s third straight loss.

Assuncao (27-7) is coming off a decision loss to Cory Sandhagen in August, 2019, and has lost two in a row. Prior to that the Brazilian had won four straight.
