Following an incident at a Dublin pub earlier this year, in which Conor McGregor was captured on video striking an elderly man, the former UFC champ has been charged with assault.

The Independant.ie is reporting that McGregor has been summoned to appear in court next Friday, October 11th, as a result of an assault charge he’s been handed, in connection with the aforementioned incident. The report states the charge carries “a maximum prison term of six months upon summary conviction, a fine of €1,500, or both.”

In August, McGregor apologized for punching the man, and the star said he would accept any punishment he’s handed, as a result of his actions.
