Report: Dan Hooker – Mateuz Gamrot Fight Nearly Finalized
By FCF Staff
It looks like UFC 305 will feature another fighter from New Zealand, as it’s being reported that Dan Hooker and Mateuz Gamrot have agreed to fight at the upcoming event.
UFC 305 will take place on August 17th in Perth, Australia. Recently, Hooker relayed via social media that a fight with Gamrot was likely for the card, and sources have informed MMA Fighting verbal agreements are in place for the bout.
The 34-year-old Hooker (23-12) hasn’t competed since last July, when he recorded a split decision win over Jailin Turner. The Kiwi fighter has gone 3-2 in his last 5 fights.
Gamrot (24-2), who is 33, recorded a decision win over Rafael dos Anjos in his last outing. That bout took place in March. The Polish fighter is 4-1 in his last 5 contests.
UFC 305 will be headlined by a middleweight fight between champion Dricus Du Plessis and former champ, Israel Adesanya.
