Report: Darren Till – Kelvin Gastelum Middleweight Fight Set
By FCF Staff
After months of speculation as to whether Darren Till will move up to 185, it’s being reported he’s agreed to fight middleweight contender Kelvin Gastelum next.
Due to how much weight Till cuts to make welterweight, talk about about when and if the Liverpool fighter might move to 185 has been common. Now, ESPN’s reporting Till and Gastelum have agreed to fight at the UFC’s November 2nd card in New York City.
Till (17-2-1) is looking to get back on track, following a knockout loss to Jorge Masvidal this past March, and a submission loss to Tyron Woodley last September.
Gastelum (15-4), meanwhile, is coming off a decision loss to Israel Adesanya in April, which was for the interim middleweight title. Prior to that the former welterweight contender defeated Michael Bisping and “Jacare” Souza in consecutive fights.
UFC 244 will be hosted by NYC’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
