Recently there’s been speculation about a Demian Maia – Jorge Masvidal bout, and now it’s being reported the fight is set for May 13th.

Following Maia’s (24-6) submission win over Carlos Condit last August, which was his sixth straight victory, the welterweight contender has said he’s going to wait for a title shot. But, according to a report from MMA Junkie, Maia and Masvidal have agreed to fight at the May 13th, UFC 211 card in Dallas.

Masvidal (32-11), meanwhile, stopped Donald Cerrone in January, which was his third straight win.

UFC 211 will also feature heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic vs. Junior Dos Santos and strawweight champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Jessica Andrade.
