Report: Derek Brunson to Battle Dricus du Plessis Next

It looks like Derek Brunson will be competing early in 2023, as it’s being reported that the middleweight contender will take on Dricus du Plessis in March.
Brunson (23-8) has not competed since February 2022, when he was knocked out by Jared Cannonier. The defeat snapped his five-fight winning streak.
According to a recent report from ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, sources say Brunson will face du Plessis at UFC 285 on March 4th.
Du Plessis (18-2) recently submitted Darren Till and is riding a six-fight winning streak.
Currently, Brunson is ranked #5 in the UFC’s middleweight division and du Plessis is ranked #10.
