After it was announced earlier that James Vick will take on Walmir Lazaro at UFC 176, it looks as though a middleweight bout between Lorenz Larkin and Derek Brunson is set for August 2nd.

Larkin and Brunson have verbally agreed to fight at the Los Angeles card, according to a report from MMA Junkie.com.

Brunson (11-3) is coming off a third round, stoppage loss to Yoel Romero in January, after defeating Brian Houston and Chris Leben.

Larkin (14-3) is looking to rebound from a KO defeat to Costas Philippou, and a decision loss to Brad Tavares.

UFC 176 will be hosted by the Staples Center and will feature featherweight champ Jose Aldo taking on Chad Mendes.
