Report: Dustin Poirier Has Signed Contract For Conor McGregor Rubber Match
By FCF Staff
It looks like the Ultimate Fighting Championship has booked a massive bout for its summer schedule, as it’s being reported Dustin Poirier has signed a contract to fight Conor McGregor for the third time. The latter reportedly agreed to the match-up several weeks ago.
Poirier avenged his 2014 stoppage loss to McGregor this past January, by finishing the star in round two. Sources have ESPN that Poirier has signed a contract to fight McGregor on July 10th. The fight will be contested at lightweight and will serve as the main event.
A location and venue for the event has yet to be determined.
Poirier (27-6, 1 NC) is 4-1 in his last 5 fights, with his only loss during that time coming against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
McGregor (22-5) is 3-2 in his last 5 contests. The former champ’s other loss during that stretch also came against Nurmagomedov.
