Report: Holly Holm to be Offered $250K for Boxing Match
By FCF Staff
As Holly Holm continues to recover from a broken arm she suffered during her recent championship victory with Legacy FC, word has surfaced that she’ll be tabled a lucrative offer to return to boxing.
Holm has been focusing on her MMA career as of late, after going 33-2-3 in pro boxing and winning multiple championships. More recently, the fighter’s management has held discussions with the UFC, however, no deal was reached.
In a follow up story from MMA Junkie.com, Legacy FC promoter Mitch Maynard reported that Holm will be offered $250,000 for a boxing bout with Cecelia Braekhus. The title fight would take place in Las Vegas this September, and is being organized by a European promoter.
Recently, Holm’s coach Mike Winkeljohn relayed to MMA Fighting.com that Holm had been offered$15K to show, and $15 to win, for her first bout with the UFC.
Since transitioning into MMA in 2011, the 32 year-old Holm has won seven straight bouts, six of which have been by stoppage. As a result of her success in MMA, and her striking credentials, Holm is viewed by many as a possible challenger for UFC champ Ronda Rousey.
