Report: Igor Pokrajac Stepping in for Anthony Perosh at UFC on FX 6
By FCF Staff
In the wake of a severely broken toe that has forced Anthony Perosh out of the upcoming December 14th, UFC on FX 6 card in Australia, Igor Pokrajac has reportedly agreed to step up on short notice and will fight Joey Beltran.
Pokrajac (25-9) competed last in September and was submitted by Vinny Magalhaes in the second round at UFC 152. The loss ended the Croatian fighter’s three fight win streak, which included wins over Todd Brown, Fabio Maldonado and Krzysztof Soszynski.
Beltran (14-8) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to James Te Huna at a UFC on FUEL card in July, after earning a UD victory over Anton Talamantes, while competing for C3 Fights in April. The American is 2-3 in his last five fights.
UFC on FX 6 will feature a lightweight bout between TUF “Smashes” coaches Ross Pearson and Ross Sotiropoulus. The card will also see former Bellator champ Hector Lombard take on Rousimar Palhares.
The upcoming card will be hosted by the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, Australia, and will be broadcast on FX.
