Following Kevin Holland’s withdrawal from UFC Vegas 16, it’s being reported that Marvin Vettori has agreed to face Jack Hermansson in the card’s main event.

Recently Holland announced that he’s tested positive for COVID-19 and as a result, he won’t fight Hermansson on December 5th. Vettori was schedule to fight ‘Jacare’ Souza at UFC 256, December 12th, but MMA Junkie is reporting that the middleweight will face Hermansson next Saturday instead.

ESPN initially reported that the UFC was looking at having Vettori move to UFC Vegas 16. Souza will fight Holland now at UFC 256.

Vettori (15-4-1) is coming off a submission win over Karl Roberson in June and has won three straight.

Hermansson (21-5) quickly submitted Kelvin Gastelum in his last bout, which took place in July. Prior to that he was stopped by Jared Cannonier in September, 2019.
