Report: Jessica Eye’s UFC 166 Win Over Sarah Kaufman Overturned Due to Failed Drug Test
By FCF Staff
Recently it was reported that Jessica Eye’s split decision win over Sarah Kaufman at UFC 166 had been overturned to a no decision, and now it’s been revealed the change was apparently due to Eye failing her post-fight drug test.
According to multiple reports, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has confirmed that Eye allegedly tested positive for a prohibited drug following the October 19th card. Eye has been fined $1,875 and issued a one year, “probated suspension”, which means that the bantamweight can continue to fight as long as the conditions of her probation are met.
Eye (10-1 1 NC) is scheduled to fight Alexis Davis at UFC 170 on February 22nd. In response to the Texas commission’s ruling, the 27 year-old fighter tweeted Monday:
I PROMISE YOU I AM NOT SUSPEND and WILL BE FIGHTING FEB 22 as scheduled !! @UFC don’t believe everything you read online !
