It’s being reported that just hours after Jon Jones was inducted into the UFC’s Hall of Fame, the decorated and controversial fighter was arrested in Las Vegas.
The former light heavyweight champ was arrested early Friday morning by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Jones was charged with misdemeanor battery domestic violence and injuring or tampering with a vehicle, according to a report from ESPN.
Jones’ adviser, Richard Schaefer was quoted telling ESPN: “The facts are still developing, we really don’t know yet the full story so I’m not going to make any comment until I have a chance to talk to Jon and until we see see how this plays out.”
The 34-year-old Jones, who has been arrested several times in his career, was inducted into the UFC’s HOF for his 2013 fight with Alexander Gustafsson. Jones won the instant classic via decision.
