It looks as though Bellator 154 will no longer feature a lightweight bout between contenders Michael Chandler and Josh Thomson.

The two were scheduled to fight at the May 14th card in San Jose, but according to a report from FloCombat, Thomson has withdrawn due to an undisclosed injury. Other outlets have also confirmed that Thomson is withdrawing from the card.

The nature of Thomson’s injury was not disclosed. The UFC veteran is coming off wins over Mike Bronzoulis and Pabo Villaseca since signing with Bellator.

Bellator 154 will be headlined by a light-heavyweight bout between “King Mo” Lawal and Phil Davis.
