Report: Ken Shamrock And Kimbo Slice Failed Bellator 149 Drug Tests
By FCF Staff
The highly criticized, Bellator 149 card is back in the news, as both Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock have reportedly failed the drug tests they took for the February 19th event.
According to multiple reports, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) has announced that Shamrock and Slice have allegedly tested positive for banned substances. The department has not disclosed any specific details, however, regarding the substances that were found.
Slice took on DADA 5000 in the card’s headliner, and stopped the heavyweight in round three. The bout was widely criticized due to the fact both men were exhausted shortly into the bout. DADA 5000 was sent to hospital afterwards after reportedly suffering from serious medical complications.
Shamrock, on the other hand, was stopped by Royce Gracie in round one. The fight’s stoppage was controversial, however, since Gracie appeared to hit Shamrock with a low blow. The latter tested positive for steroids in 2009.
Bellator 149, which averaged 1.9 million viewers, was hosted by Houston’s Toyata Center.
