After Strikeforce was forced to cancel its November 3rd card due to injuries, the promotion and Showtime promised a stacked event in January, and according to reports the card will in fact feature three title fights.
Not only will the January 12th card include middleweight champion Luke Rockhold taking on Lorenz Larkin, but according to MMA Junkie, lightweight champ Gilbert Melendez will face Pat Healy, and welterweight champion Nate Marquardt will meet Tarec Saffiedine.
In addition, the event will reportedly feature recent heavyweight grand-prix winner Daniel Cormier, who will take on Dion Staring.
The card will be hosted by Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Arena, which was the scheduled site for the canceled November 3rd event.
