Report: Michael Bisping Being Sued For Alleged Assault at Gym
By FCF Staff
Less than two weeks out from his next title defense at UFC 217, it’s being reported that Michael Bisping is being sued, for allegedly assaulting a man at an Anaheim gym.
TMZ was the first to report that Antonio Georgakopoulos is alleging that Bisping choked him at a 24 Hour Fitness gym this past July. Georgakopoulos claims that Bisping became upset after he moved some weights. It also claims that an individual, and the gym’s staff, had to intervene.
MMA Fighting has also confirmed that Bisping is being sued as a result of the alleged incident. The latter report also states that the City Attorney’s office looked into the alleged incident, but determined there was not enough evidence to proceed with a criminal case.
Bisping is being accused in the suit of assault, battery and false imprisonment.
The British fighter is scheduled to face Georges St-Pierre on November 4th.
