Report: Michael Chiesa & Neil Magny Have Agreed to Fight

It’s being reported that Neil Magny and Michael Chiesa have agreed to fight, and that the welterweights will do so in less than a month.
The contenders have reportedly agreed to fight at the UFC’s January 20th card in Abu Dhabi, according to a report from ESPN’s Brett Okamoto. The report cites sources for having confirmed the match-up.
Magny (24-7) is coming off a a decision win over Robbie Lawler in August and he’s won three straight.
Chiesa (17-4) has also won three in a row. In his last outing, this past January, he recorded a decision win over Rafael dos Anjos.
Magny is currently ranked #9 in the UFC’s welterweight division and Chiesa is #8.
The January 20th UFC card will be headlined by a bout between welterweights Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev.
