Report: MMA Managers to Hold Meeting in Las Vegas
By FCF Staff
Not long after the financial terms of the UFC-Reebok uniform deal have been disclosed, several managers are reportedly set to meet next week in Las Vegas.
UFC 187 is set to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 23rd.
According to a report from MMA Fighting.com, a group of managers and agents have agreed to meet and discuss several issues, including the UFC-Reebok deal. Jeff Meyer of MMA Inc was quoted saying in the story that the uniform deal is “only one component of a multitude of issues managers should be talking about.”
Meyer, alongside Mike Roberts, represents accomplished fighters like Urijah Faber, Anthony Pettis, and Paige VanZant.
Some of the other managers who are expected to attend include Ana Claudia Guedes (Junior dos Santos), Robert Roveta (Matt Brown, Dustin Poirier and Shawn Jordan) and Brian Butler (Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Felice Herrig and Carla Esparza, among others). The report says other managers would not confirm whether they’re going to attend.
Meyer also relayed in the story that the managers are not meeting to discuss just one promotion.
