After Glory Sports International recently announced that it was promoting a New Year’s Eve card in Japan under the DREAM banner, it apparently sparked a rumor that it was also interested in acquiring another Asian promotion in ONE FC.

ONE FC CEO and owner Victor Cui has reportedly shot down the rumor, however, according to a report from AsianMMA.com. In addition, Cui relayed to the outlet that ONE FC is in “excellent financial shape.”

The growing promotion was expected to hold a show December 1st in Malaysia, but recently it cancelled the card due to reported issues securing a venue for the event.

ONE FC held five events in 2012 and promoted cards in the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.

GLORY’s DREAM NYE card will feature kickboxing and MMA bouts.
