The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to build out its fall schedule, and it’s being reported that the promotion is planning to have Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori throw hands.

Both of the middleweight contenders are coming off defeats to Israel Adesanya. Costa (13-1) faced the champion last September and was stopped in round two.

Vettori (17-5-1), meanwhile, fought Adesanya in June and lost via unanimous decision.

According to a report from ESPN, the UFC’s broadcasting partner, multiple sources have informed the outlet that Costa vs. Vettori is nearly finalized for October 23rd. The bout would headline the UFC Fight Night card, which has yet to have a location or venue confirmed.

Currently, Costa is ranked #2 in the UFC’s middleweight division and Vettori is #4.
