Report: Pedro Munhoz – Jimmie Rivera Rematch Rebooked
By FCF Staff
After having their rematch postponed this past weekend, it’s being reported that a bout between Jimmie Rivera and Pedro Munhoz has been rebooked.
The bantamweight contenders were supposed to fight at UFC 258 this past Saturday. But recently it was reported the fight had been postponed due to a positive test for COVID-19.
MMA Fighting reported that the fight was likely going to be moved to February 27th, and MMA Junkie is reporting the fight is now set for that date.
Munhoz (18-5) and Rivera (23-4) fought for the first time in 2015 and the latter won the fight via split decision.
More recently, Munhoz dropped a decision loss to Frankie Edgar last August and Rivera recoded a decision win over Cody Stamann in July.
The February 27th card is expected to take place at the Apex Facility in Las Vegas.
