The UFC is close to finalizing an intriguing welterweight contest, as it’s being reported the promotion is planning a bout between Sean Brady and Michel Pereira.

The UFC is hoping to add Brady versus Pereira to a UFC Fight Night event on March 25th. Pereira reportedly announced the match-up in an interview with PVT, and MMA Fighting has also confirmed plans for the bout. Contracts have yet to be signed.

Brady (15-1) is looking to get back on track after incurring his first pro-defeat – a stoppage loss to Belal Muhammad – in October. Brady had won his first five UFC bouts prior to that.

Pereira (28-11) has won five straight and in his last outing, last May, he recorded a split decsision win over Santiago Ponzinibbi0.

The March 25th card is expected to take place in San Antonio,  Texas.
