Several fighters relayed via social media that they wanted to fight Sean O’Malley at UFC 264. But, it’s being reported a UFC newcomer will fight the rising bantamweight on July 10.

O’Malley was scheduled to fight Louis Smolka at the upcoming event, but recently the latter withdrew due to an undisclosed injury.

Since then, O’Malley reportedly confirmed on Twitch that he’s going to fight Kris Moutinho at UFC 264.

Moutinho (9-4) is coming off back-to-back wins while competing for Cage Fury Fighting Championships.

O’Malley (13-1) is coming off a stoppage win over Thomas Almeida in March.

UFC 264, which will take place in Las Vegas, will be headlined by a rubber match between lightweight contenders, Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor.
