Report: Tarec Saffiedine And Sage Northcutt to Have Trial Training Runs at Tristar
By FCF Staff
It looks as though the renowned Tristar gym in Montreal, Quebec, will be visited by Sage Northcutt and Tarec Saffiedine in the coming weeks, to see if the UFC fighters are a good fit for the camp.
Northcutt is coming off a quick, stoppage win over Frank Trevino at UFC 192, and the lightweight prospect moved his record to 6-0 in doing so.
Saffiedine (15-4), meanwhile, is a former Strikeforce champ who hasn’t fought since last October, when he was stopped by Tristar’s Rory MacDonald. The Belgian welterweight has been sidelined for much of 2015 due to injuries.
MMA Junkie’s Joe Ferraro recently tweeted that he had been told Northcutt and Saffiedine were going to train at Tristar. In a follow up report from the outlet, Tristar head coach Firas Zahabi confirmed the two will have trial, training runs at the gym.
