Report: Tyron Woodley Collects at Least $2 Million For Jake Paul Fight
By FCF Staff
Tyron Woodley wasn’t able to make good on his promise to defeat Jake Paul. But, the former UFC champ did collect a hefty payday, as many predicted would be the case.
Woodley faced the YouTube celebrity in an eight-round, boxing match on Sunday, and lost the fight via split decision. The bout was Woodley’s first, pro-boxing match, while officially, Paul had competed in three prior.
The pay-per-view fight took place in Cleveland, Ohio.
More recently, MMA Junkie is reporting that the Ohio Commission has disclosed that both Paul and Woodley earned $2 million dollars for the fight. That total does not include any money a fighter may have earned via their pay-per-view points, merchandising or sponsorships.

The 39-year-old Woodley was competing for the first time since he exited the UFC earlier this year, following a submission loss to Vicente Luque.
