Following Ciryl Gane’s win over Jairzinho Rozenstruik, it looks like the rising heavyweight is going to face former Bellator champ, Alexander Volkov.

Gane (8-0) outscored Rozenstruik for the decision win in February, and in doing so, he moved his UFC record to 5-0. According to a report from ESPN, sources have informed the outlet the UFC is close to finalizing a fight between Gane and Volkov for June 26th.

The fight will headline the event, which has yet to have a location determined.

Volkov (33-8), meanwhile, stopped Alistair Overeem in his last bout, which took place in February. The decorated fighter is 3-2 in his last 5 fights.

Currently Gane is ranked #4 in the UFC’s heavyweight rankings and Volkov is #5.
