Report: UFC’s Shane Del Rosario in Critical Condition After Suffering Cardiac Arrest

According to a report from Shane Del Rosario’s management, the UFC heavyweight has suffered a “catastrophic cardiovascular collapse” Tuesday and is in critical condition as a result.
The 30 year-old fighter is at the Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, California, according to a follow up report from MMA Fighting.com.
Jason House from Irdium Sports, who manages the 11-2 fighter, tweeted recently:
Official Statement: Shane Del Rosario had a catastrophic cardiovascular collapse at home on Tuesday morning. He was brought to the hospital in full cardiac arrest. He was resuscitated in the emergency room back to a stable heart rhythm and blood pressure. He is currently in the coronary care unit critically ill. Our prayers are with him and his family.
Del Rosario had been scheduled to fight Guto Inocente at UFC 168 on December 28th, however, he recently withdrew due to a rib injury.
