The UFC continues to work on its pay-per-view schedule for 2021, and it’s being reported Zhang Weili versus Rose Namajunas is being planned.

Weili (21-1) hasn’t fought since March, 2020, when he recorded a split decision win over Joanna Jędrzejczyk. ESPN is reporting that sources say the UFC is working on having the strawweight champ face Namajunas on April 24th.

UFC 261 will take place on that date. Recently it was reported that flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko is expected to fight Jessica Andrade at that event as well. UFC 261 will likely take place in Las Vegas.

Namajunas (9-4) last completed in July when she recorded a split decision victory over Andrade. That fight marked the second time the two fought, as Andrade KO’d Namajunas in May, 2019.
