After losing by split decision to Pedro Munhoz at Resurrection Fighting Alliance’s latest event in Los Angeles, UFC veteran Jeff Curran is likely retiring from fighting. The bout headlined the RFA 9 event, and saw Munhoz take the promotion’s vacant bantamweight title with the win.

The 35 year-old Curran (34-16-1) has been open about the fact he was hoping to end his career in the UFC, as after falling by unanimous decision to Johnny Eduardo last May, he was let go by the promotion. The BJJ black belt rebounded by defeating Joshua Killion at an Extreme Challenge event in May.

According to a report from MMA Weekly.com, the fighter’s manager Monte Cox, relayed on Facebook that Curran is likely finished fighting as a result of Friday’s loss.

Curran began fighting professionally in 1997, and during his accomplished career, he competed for various organizations including the WEC, Shooto, PRIDE and the IFL.

With last night’s win, the Blackhouse fighter Munhoz improved his record to 9-0.

Here are the results from last night’s RFA 9 main card, which was broadcast on AXS TV.
