GLORY has announced that the kickboxing promotion’s heavyweight champ, Rico Verhoeven, will face Antonio Plazibat next.

The fight, which was expected to take place in March, has been delayed due to an injury to Verhoeven. It will headline GLORY’s Collision 5 card, which has yet to have an official date and venue announced.

Verhoeven (60-10) hasn’t competed for GLORY since September, 2021, when he stopped Jamal Ben Saddik in a thrilling contest. The champion hasn’t lost a fight since 2015.

Plazibat (16-4) is coming off a first-round, KO win over  Raul Catinas in November. Plazibat has won four straight.

Additional match-ups for the card will reportedly be announced in the coming weeks.
