Rizin FF: Melvin Guillard Steps in to Fight Takanori Gomi

Rizin FF has announced that Melvin Guillard has stepped into fight Takanori Gomi at the promotion’s July 29th card in Saitama, Japan.
Gomi was originally scheduled to fight Andy Souwer at the card, but the latter has reportedly signed with ONE Championship.
Guillard (32-20-2) is coming off a stoppage loss to Maurice Jackson in February and is winless in his last 8 bouts.
Gomi (35-15), meanwhile, has lost six in a row. Most recently the former PRIDE champ was submitted by Yusuke Yachi in December.
