The new promotion Rizin Fighting Federation has announced the opening round match-ups for its heavyweight tourney, which will begin on December 29th.

The quarterfinal bouts include Satoshi Ishii vs. Jiri Prochazka,  Goran Reljic vs. Vadim Nemkov, and Teodoras Aukstolos vs. Bruno Cappelozza.

“King Mo” Lawal is also scheduled to compete, however, the promotion is searching for an opponent. Mark Godbeer was scheduled to fight but has withdrawn due to an injury.

The tournament will conclude on December 31st. The December 29th event will be headlined by a bout between legend Kazushi Sakuraba and Shinya Aoki.
