Rockhold Defends With Decision Win Over Kennedy, Marquardt KOs Woodley To Take Welterweight Belt

Luke Rockhold defended his Strikeforce middleweight title tonight in Portland, Oregon, by working his way to a unanimous decision win over challenger Tim Kennedy. All three judges scored the five round fight 49-46 in the American Kickboxing Academy fighter’s favor.
In the card’s other title fight, Nate Marquardt laid claim to the promotion’s vacant welterweight bout, by knocking out Tyron Woodley with a vicious combination in the fourth round.
