Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort is the venue for tonight’s King of the Cage 6. Leaving California soil for the first time, Terry Trebilcock and Bud Brutsman’s promotion has really taken off in its relatively short existence.
Media, fighters and celebrities came together for today’s press conference in one of the many casino ballrooms. Trebilcock addressed the crowd, "I really want to thank the casino.

It was tough and it took a while for us to get here. I knew this was definitely going to be one of the best places in the country for us to put on a show."

Later, referee Larry Landless took control. He went over the rules and took questions from fighters regarding their fights. He stressed fighter safety and he also implored the fighters to be active so he wouldn’t have to restart the action. Ken Shamrock addressed the same issue and asked for the fighters best.

Shamrock has three fighters competing in the two main events. Pete Williams takes on mammoth wrestler, 5’10" 258lbs, Roger Neff. "He’s a wrestler and not so much into boxing," Williams said. "His strikes really aren’t par with mine and neither are his submission skills. I just have to weather the storm, wait for his strength wear out and then take it to him."

Neff comes in knowing Williams has fought and defeated some of the best wrestlers in the world. During the past five weeks Neff has trained twice a day in hopes his conditioning will be the difference.

"I know he’s dangerous," Neff said. "I have a bad habit of dropping my hands later in a fight. I’m going to try and keep them up so I don’t get kicked. I’ve also been working on escaping a lot of leg locks."

KOTC Middleweight champion Vernon White puts his title on the line against Team Kerr member David Dodd. "I expect him to come out and fight hard," said White about his opponent. "If he doesn’t it will be a really short fight."
