Scott Coker Reports Bellator’s Interested in “Rampage” Jackson – Wanderlei Silva IV
By FCF Staff
“Rampage” Jackson and Wanderlei Silva have already fought three times before, but it looks like the stars could battle once again.
The rivals fought for the first time 2003, under the PRIDE banner, and Silva stopped Jackson in round one. In 2004, the two met again, and that time, Silva took out Jackson in round two.
Then, when the fighters had moved to the UFC, they fought for a third time in 2008. In that encounter, however, Jackson scored a first round, knockout.
Well, Jackson has talked about facing Silva yet again, and Bellator President Scott Coker told MMA Fighting they’re interested in making it happen:
“That’s something that we’re talking to ‘Rampage’ about and talking to Wanderlei about,” Coker said. “I would love to make that fight before the end of the year.
“That is very much on the table”, Coker added.
Jackson is coming off a decision loss to Chael Sonnen in January, while Silva lost to Sonnen via decision in June, in his last outing.
