Lightweight Clementi Steps Up For March 13th Russian Invasion By Loretta Hunt UFC veteran Rich Clementi has been tapped to complete the roster for Euphoria Entertainment’s Mixed Martial Arts: Russian Invasion scheduled for this Saturday, March 13th at the Trump Taj Mahal arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Local East Brunswick-born Clementi will face Red Devil Sports Club member Serguei Goliaev, who is 4-2 in MMA action. Clementi was a recent stand-out in Japan’s ZST Lightweight Grand Prix Tournament, where he made it past three opponents on route to a loss in the finals to American Top Team’s Marcus Aurelio. With only a week’s notice, what would spurn "No Love" to take on an opponent he knows very little about? "Just because I’m aggravated," Clementi laughed from his New Orleans home last night. "I just didn’t get off in my last fight," referring to his decision loss to Dave Gardner at March 5th’s Freestyle Fighting Championships 8. " When I fight, I like to fight. Every Russian I’ve seen fight, they’re pretty hardcore, always coming forward and pressing the action. Hopefully, he’ll come at me and it will be an exciting fight for everybody." Clementi’s bout rounds out an intriguing card of ten fights, all of which pit a Red Devil team member versus an American representative from schools and teams across the country.
