Stefan Struve and Pat Barry Agree to UFC Live 6 Bout
By FCF Staff
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced this afternoon that heavyweights Pat Barry and Stefan Struve have agreed to fight at the promotion’s upcoming, October 1st event in Washington D.C.
Struve (21-5) will be looking to rebound from a knockout loss he suffered at the hands of Travis Browne, while competing at UFC 130 in May. The defeat came after the Dutch fighter stopped Christian Morecraft and Sean McCorkle in back-to-back bouts.
Barry (6-3) is also coming off a KO loss, as in his last outing at UFC Live 4 in June, the heavyweight was knocked out by Cheick Kongo. In Barry’s other 2011 appearance he worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Joey Beltran in January.
UFC Live 6 will be hosted by Washington’s Verizon Center and will feature bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz vs. Demetrious Johnson in the main event. A welterweight bout between Anthony Johnson and Charlie Brenneman is also scheduled for the card.
