Sterling Ford will compete on back-to-back Strikeforce Challengers cards, as the promotion has announced that the lightweight will fight Milton Vieira, August 12^th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ford is coming off a July 22^nd, unanimous decision win over Brian McLaughlin at Challengers 17  to extend his winning streak to six.

Vieira (12-7-1) will make his promotional debut having won back-to-backs over Davi Cubas and Bruno Lobato while competing for Bitetti Combat in Brazil. The Pride vet is 4-1 in his last five bouts.Vieira was expected to fight Bobby Green at Challengers 18, however, Green was moved to this Saturday’s Strikeforce card and will fight Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante.

The August 12^th Challengers 18 card will be headlined by a lightweight bout between Jorge Gurgel and Joe Duarte

The event will be hosted by the Palms Casino Resort and will be broadcast on Showtime.
