Thiago Moises Wasn’t That Impressed With Bobby Green’s Recent Wins

Thiago Moises recognizes why Bobby Green is a top 15 ranked lightweight. But, the 25-year-old wasn’t all that impressed with Green’s recent victories.
Moises has been booked to face Green today at UFC Vegas 12, after tapping out Michael Johnson this past May. Prior to that, the Brazilian lost via decision to Damir Ismagulov last summer.
Green (27-10-1), meanwhile, is coming off a decision win over Alan Patrick in September. The win was the 34-year-old’s third straight.
Moises was recently asked if he was impressed with Green’s recent victories, and he said this (quote via MMA Fighting).
“Actually, not much,” Moises said. “He won against Clay Guida, who I believe already is in the end of his career. ‘Nuguette’ (Patrick), he won well, but Nuguette was away for two years. But I want to fight the best, that’s why I’m in the UFC.”
And while discussing how he matches up against the unorthodox fighter, Moises said this.
“I believe I’m more complete as a fighter,” Moises said. “I have good punches and kicks on the feet, I have good takedowns too, and my jiu-jitsu definitely is better than his. I’ll explore all of that in this fight.”
Ahead of today’s event, Green is currently ranked #10 in the UFC’s lightweight division. Moises is not positioned in the top 15.
UFC Vegas 12 will be hosted by the Apex Facility. In the main event, former middleweight champ Anderson Silva will battle Uriah Hall.
