Tim Kennedy Challenges Anderson Silva Again, Willing to Fight Latter at UFC 198
By FCF Staff
Recently it was reported that Anderson Silva will not fight at UFC 198, since the promotion can’t find an opponent for the legend, but Tim Kennedy’s clearly willing to answer the bell.
Silva is reportedly hoping to fight at the May 14th event, since it will take place at the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil. Not many top ranked middleweights are currently available for fights, but Gegard Mousasi and Kennedy are names that have been mentioned. Mousasi is willing to fight Silva, but he is calling for a match-up in June or July.
As far as Kennedy, however, he recently tweeted the following:
I formally challenge @SpiderAnderson to a good old fashion fist to cuffs. You have a ugly bald head and like to cheat. @danawhite @ufc

@MMAdamMartin @guicruzzz I will.

Kennedy hasn’t fought since September, 2014, when he was stopped by Yoel Romero.
