Tyron Woodley & Colby Covington Offer Services For UFC 249
By FCF Staff
Following the news that Khabib Nurmagomedov is likely stranded in Russia, and may not be able to attend UFC 249, Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley have offered to battle at the event.
Recently Nurmagomedov confirmed that he remains in Russia, following the nation’s ban on travel, on account of the coronavirus. As a result, the lightweight champ’s ability to fight Tony Ferguson on April 18th, if UFC 249 proceeds at all, is in serious doubt.
More recently, however, Woodley and Covington tweeted out the comments below.
The offer still stands @ufc. I’ll go full Teddy Roosevelt & beat the breaks off @TWooodley

UFC 249 was originally scheduled to take place in Brooklyn on April 18th. But, due to the coronavirus pandemic and bans on larger public gatherings, the card’s future is up in the air.
