After trading verbal shots for a couple of years now, it looks like Tyron Woodley and Colby Covington are going to fight on September 19th.

The former teammates have been sparring through the media for months now, and both fighters have accused the other of ducking the match-up. More recently, however, UFC President Dana White confirmed the promotion was actively trying to sign the fight.

In the recent Instagram post below, Woodley reported that the two are set to fight on September 19th.

According to a follow-up report from MMA Fighting, Woodley – Covington is in the works for the September 19th event.

The former welterweight champ Woodley (19-5) is coming off back-to-back losses to Gilbert Burns and current champ, Kamaru Usman.

Covington (15-2) was stopped by Usman last December, and that loss snapped the polarizing fighter’s seven-fight, winning streak.
