By FCF Staff
With the news that Rashad Evans will no longer fight at UFC 170, due to a leg injury, Chael Sonnen has offered to step up and face Daniel Cormier.
Sonnen took to Twitter recently and relayed the following to Cormier, who is one of his co-workers at FOX Sports.
.@dc_mma ya know I haven't been crazy about you attitude as of late. Daddy ain't ready, but he's ready enough. Feb 22 just say my name…

Sonnen is currently filming the latest season of TUF Brazil, coaching opposite Wanderlei Silva, and the two will fight on May 24th.
The UFC has already announced that the February 22nd card as been reduced to ten fights, and that no replacement for Evans will be sought. Cormier, however, clearly still wants to fight:
I'm so sad, but I wanna fight. I've trained so hard. @sonnench, @Anthony_Rumble, anybody Maybe a heavyweight. Anyone please! @danawhite

According to the LA Times’ Lance Pugmire, Lorenzo Fertitta has informed him the promotion wants to re-book Evans-Cormier for April.
UFC 170 will be hosted by the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will feature Ronda Rousey taking on Sarah McMann in the main event.
