UFC 177: TJ Dillashaw Defends Title With Fifth Round Stoppage Win
By FCF Staff
TJ Dillashaw may have needed over four rounds to do it, but the bantamweight champ defended the title tonight at UFC 177, by stopping Joe Soto in round five.
Soto was a last minute replacement for former champ Renan Barao, who was pulled from the main event on Friday, after suffering medical issues while cutting weight. Soto was originally scheduled to make his Octagon debut versus Anthony Birchak.
The bantamweight ended up taking Dillashaw into round five, but was taken out with head kick and follow up punches from the champ.
