Before Tim Kennedy was stopped by Yoel Romero at UFC 178 tonight, the middleweight indicated he wasn’t happy about the time his opponent was given after round two, and evidently he continued his protest after the bout.

Kennedy stunned and badly cut Romero before the second round concluded, and before round three began, the latter’s corner left the Octagon while he sat on the stool. Kennedy walked over to referee John McCarthy and protested the delay, before the fight resumed.

Moments into the third frame, however, Romero rocked Kennedy with a flurry of punches and ended up recording the stoppage win.

After the bout, the following clip appeared on the social media site Vine:

While it remains to be seen if Kennedy and his camp will protest the defeat, the loss ended the veteran’s four fight winning streak.
