As most people expected would be the case, Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier engaged in a memorable battle at UFC 182, and as a result, the light-heavyweights picked up “Fight of the Night” honors.

Jones emerged from the bout with the unanimous decision win, and in doing so, the champion handed Cormier his first pro defeat. Both men earned an extra $50,000 for the award.

One “Performance of the Night”, and $5OK, went to lightweight Paul Felder, for his spinning back fist KO of Danny Castillo. The other went to heavyweight Shawn Jordan, who put away Jared Cannonier in the first round with punches.

UFC 182 was hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
