UFC 184: Gleison Tibau Replacing Yancy Medeiros
By FCF Staff
UFC 184 has undergone yet another change, as the promotion has announced that Yancy Medeiros has withdrawn from his bout with Tony Ferguson due to injury.
Stepping in for Medeiros will be veteran lightweight Gleison Tibau. According to the UFC’s announcement, a foot injury is responsible for the withdrawal of Medeiros.
Tibau (33-10) is looking to extend his three fight, winning streak, as the powerful fighter is coming off victories over Pat Healy, Piotr Hallmann and most recently Norman Parke.
Ferguson (17-3), meanwhile, has won four in a row and score a submission win over Abel Trujillo in his last outing.
UFC 184 will be hosted by the Staples Arena in Los Angeles, and will feature bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey taking on Cat Zingano.
